What We Do

We meet twice a month on Saturdays (three times if there are five weeks in the month) to turn wood, talk woodturning, and socialise over coffee and biscuits.

There are a number of demonstrations in the year, given by professional woodturners, and some given by our own members.

We hold occasional competitions of our work, more of a' fun thing' than a 'serious thing'. There are three classes, beginners, intermediate and those who have previously won in the intermediate group.

An opportunity to sell your work (for those who wish to do so) arises when we have an exhibitors table at an external show that we attend. There are rumours that some people do quite well!

We turn things for our enjoyment, for our entertainment, for showing, for selling perhaps, and for charity.
